Our Property
The Rose Cottage is a comfortable home, centrally located in the Valley of Virginia, just north of the Village of Fairfield. It is conveniently situated very near Interstate 81, Interstate 64, and US Route 11 (an interesting easy-to-drive highway that stretches from New Orleans all the way to the Canadian border, linking a multitude of cities and small towns along the way).
The property, secluded but not isolated, boasts magnificent views of the night sky, walking trails winding through our twenty acres of woodlands, bird and wildlife viewing, and a relaxing rural lifestyle experience.
A well appointed kitchen with dining area (should you take a notion to have a quiet meal at home or entertain a few friends), flows into a roomy living area with plenty of room for reading, watching a movie or listening to music. The living room opens directly onto a large outdoor deck, with a gas grill and expansive views of pastureland, woods, and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains - a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and newspaper or to unwind at the end of the day with a picnic supper or nightcap.
The living room contains a large size television for movie viewing, and a well-stocked selection of DVDs for your enjoyment. There is also an eclectic reading library for quiet evenings.
The Cottage has high speed internet and the ID and password will be provided to you upon your arrival.
Your hosts live about a seven minute walk through the pasture from the Rose Cottage. They will not "hover", but you should not hesitate to call them if you have any questions or need help during your stay.
The Rose Cottage is a non-smoking unit. You may smoke outside if you choose, but please refrain from smoking inside the Cottage.
The entry to the Cottage is by a short path from the parking area to the front door. There is plenty of room to park several vehicles at the end of the path. There is a keypad on the front door, which will be programmed to your individual four-digit passcode prior to your arrival.
