Danielle - "We loved our stay. Rose Cottage was clean and very well maintained. We were welcomed with farm fresh eggs, chocolates and many small things that made us feel very special. They greeted us personally and made sure that our time in Rose Cottage was perfect -totally above and beyond our expectations."

Cheryl - "Not far from the highway yet very private - you feel like you have your very own gorgeous country estate! Loved the views, the firepit and how spacious the house was (3 bedroom)! Wonderfully gracious hosts as well, Jay and Anita."

Jennifer - "I would like to thank the owners Jay and Anita for creating such a wonderful experience for our family. We stayed at Rose Cottage during VMI's Parent's Weekend and were absolutely taken back and floored by the property, the interaction and level of care and attention to small details we received from both Anita and Jay. Even though we were staying in a new, unfamiliar environment, we felt right at home. The feeling was one of staying with close friends or relatives rather than a stranger's home. That really meant the world to us and helped melt much of the stress and challenge of finding a great place to bring the family for an even that was very special to us. The property and surroundings are just as spectacular as the house, the views are stunning, the scenery breath taking. All of this culminated perfectly into an experience and stay that was second to none. We'll definitely be back and I HIGHLY recommend this home to everyone looking for a great, comfortable, beautiful, immaculate place to stay."

Tony - "My family and I were invited to go trout fishing at GW National Forest, and we'd planned simply to stay at a hotel. We needed at least 2 rooms to accommodate my wife and me as well as my son, his wife, their 2 beautiful daughters and our 3 small dogs. For me a hotel stay didn't appeal. The prospect of having to lug luggage up & down, back & forth, was dreadful. I'd heard of homes for rent in the area and so, Googled the subject. VRBO was one of the 1st websites listed, and Rose Cottage, the very 1st listing under VRBO. I viewed its descriptions and photos of the surrounding area. The cottage appeared so cozy and the landscape, beautiful. I reviewed other rentals but found myself returning to Rose Cottage again & again. I wound up booking it for a 3-day weekend. Alas, we arrived late, but our hosts Anita & Jay were very accommodating. And we were warmly received: the fridge was stocked to feed us weary travelers, and the bedrooms and baths were well-dressed and clean. We simply arrived, ate, relaxed and then fell deeply and comfortably to sleep. The next morning brought more pleasantries. We awoke to a stunning view and a breakfast of fresh-brewed coffee, farm-raised chicken and/or duck eggs, English muffins, a selection of locally-made jams & jellies, and a variety of yogurt and juices. A & J even provided us waters and snacks for the day’s treks. As an avid fisher I'd have normally dashed off early - with rod, bait & tackle strapped aback - but I was reticent to leave such comfort and tranquility for the cold wilds beyond. A & J made us feel so at home, checking on us often during our stay. My son & his wife, who are often quite critical of our joint rentals, were most impressed with the Rose Cottage and A & J's courtesy and services. I regret that our stay was so brief, and both our families can't wait to come back. Anita & Jay, thank you for the experience. Thank you for looking after us so well and welcoming us like family. You have an amazing home, and we look forward to seeing y'all again very soon!"
